PROJECT OVERVIEW

Having just built a new home, the clients contacted Dirtwork Landscapes to help them design and build their front and rear yard for their young family. The brief was a place for the kids to play and explore while be a space for the adults to have a manageable space that they can relax in. Their love of the Australian landscape led to a lot of natural product selection, a dry creek used to catch the over flow from the rainwater tank, a circular gabion seat around the firepit and timber seating on the local quarried rock retaining wall surrounding the lawn. For the plantings, a small orchard and raised vegetable garden were planted among the hardy, drought tolerant species that complemented this contemporary Australian design.
